Amy Evans is a watercolorist who often paints in oil. She is particularly interested in real places often with people in them. The Ohio River has been her latest focus and so she has made many trips to various locations along the river in order to learn about it and paint what she sees. Where ever she is, Amy will sketch in watercolors much as many others write in a journal. She wrote and illustrated a book about her dog Rags. In the last few years she has done some illustration work for others as well and has truly enjoyed creating images from authors’ words. Her painting is somewhat whimsical and impressionistic in style with a sense of romanticism and joy.
